The Jungle Book
Art Direction, Poster Design

Series of experimental typographic posters for ‘The Jungle Book’.

This poster series aims at re-interpreting the imagery associated with the popular film ‘The Jungle Book’. While the tale is usually accompanied by visuals of wondrous friendships with exotic animals and carefree jungle living, this poster choses to stay away from these euphemisms and juxtapose the romanticized, clean version, with the gritty, dirty, muddy reality of a jungle.

( Easily my messiest, most unnecessarily elaborate and fun project ︎)
By utilizing negative space, these posters try to bring out the stark contrast between clean and dirty - Interpretation vs actuality. It explores this contrast through the physical deconstruction of typography.

By incorporating the elements: earth, water and sun, this series attempts to give back to the image of the Jungle Book, it’s un-diluted authenticity.
